Tras la buena acogida de su material El Sello, el trío argentino Escorpia regresa con “Mi Voz”, una canción que logra reafirmar el sello sonoro de la banda, el cual se destaca por combinar la crudeza del rock con la frescura del rap. El tema fue producido por Gaspar Benegas, músico, compositor y productor de rock argentino, con quien la banda ya había colaborado en sus producciones anteriores. Al talento del también guitarrista de Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado, se sumó el del ganador del Grammy, Reuven Amiel, quien estuvo a cargo de masterizar la canción.

“Mi Voz” habla sobre encontrar un lugar mejor, así como de no tener género ni color”. También abarca problemáticas como la crisis ambiental:

Escorpia es un trío que nació en octubre de 2020 en Buenos Aires, Argentina. La banda propone una fusión de estilos diferentes (rock, funk, rap, soul, r&b y reggae), que las distingue en la escena. Su música destaca por su sonido original y letras contundentes.

La banda está formada por Valentina Cooke en voz y guitarra, Salo Bass en bajo, y Rocío Luna en batería. A cada una le ha motivado hacer música de distintas formas, desde temprana edad. Así, juntas conforman este trío de mujeres que se unieron para combinar sus influencias y experiencia, dando como resultado el género que caracteriza hoy a Escorpia.

Su primer lanzamiento fue una minimalista pero poderosa reversión de “I Belong to You”, de Lenny Kravitz, a la cual siguió una versión de “Lento Intento” de Valentina Cooke en su etapa solista.

En septiembre de 2021 la banda lanzó su primer sencillo, “Sangre”, acompañado de un videoclip, y en noviembre grabó una live session donde dio un adelanto de “La Oscuridad”, una canción incluida en su reciente material. Ya en julio de 2022 la banda había publicado un videoclip con estética post apocalíptica, para acompañar el sencillo que da nombre a su EP que ahora están promoviendo, “El Sello”, el cual está disponible en plataformas musicales e incluye las últimas dos canciones mencionadas, además de otras dos propias; “Gossamer Wings” y “La Respuesta”, nuevamente bajo la producción de Gaspar Benegas.

Así, este trío predica con el ejemplo, y tras un año de haberse conformado, la banda recorrió numerosas salas en distintos puntos de Argentina, como San Juan Chubut, La Rioja, Neuquén, Patagonia, y la costa atlántica. Además participaron en festivales como Argentina Florece y Experiencia La Costa.
