Tonder es el nombre del proyecto musical creado por Mauricio Aziz, bajista y productor musical, quien este año decide lanzar Lofi City, un disco que explora los sonidos de las ciudades para crear un viaje sonoro instrumental, capaz de agitar y estremecer los oídos de cualquiera.

Lofi City es una narración de los viajes hechos por su autor y un homenaje a todas esas ciudades visitadas que han dejado huella en su andar como artista, pero sobre todo como ser humano. Este disco inicia con “México”, para después hacer un viaje transatlántico que nos lleva a la ciudad de “Roma” en donde podemos reencontramos con la eternidad a través de la meditación y el sonido del agua.

Las siguientes paradas son “Buenos Aires” y “Nueva York”, dos ciudades que comparten tantas similitudes como diferencias, dualidad plasmada de manera precisa por Mauricio Aziz. “Paris” y “Barcelona” son dos canciones que te envuelven en un ambiente existencialista y trasnochador, en donde resalta el motivo melódico creado por el sintetizador.

Antes de terminar el viaje, se encuentra “London” con una armonía british más experimental, seductora y juguetona llena de ruidos callejeros. Y por fin llegamos a “Lofi City” la capital del sonido, donde todo vuelve a comenzar a través de melodías etéreas, con una base experimental marcada por el bajo eléctrico.

Mauricio Aziz se inició como músico a los ocho años cuando aprendió a tocar piano, desde entonces desarrolló un gran impulso por entender el “por qué de las cosas”.  A los 15 fue echado de la escuela y fue ahí cuando decidió que su manera de entender y sobrevivir en este mundo,  era a través de la música, tal y como lo hizo su ídolo John Deacon, cuando decidió formar su primera banda a los 14 años, llamada The Opposition.

Como músico también ha participado como bajista y director musical en diferentes proyectos musicales, entre los que destacan: Rakán, Daikiry, Daniela Luján, Alejandra Ávalos, etc. De igual forma ha producido música para publicidad, telenovelas, series de TV, películas, teatro y más.

Lofi City: Sound trip of Tonder

Tonder is the name of the musical project created by Mauricio Aziz, bassist and music producer, who this year releases “Lofi City”, an album that explores the sounds of cities to create an instrumental sound journey, which is capable of shaking the ears of anyone.

“Lofi City” is a narration of the trips that its author made and a tribute to all those cities visited that have left their mark on his career as an artist, but above all as a human being. This album begins with “México”, to later make a trasatlantic trip us to “Roma” (Rome) where we can rediscover eternity through meditation and the sound of water.

The next stops are “Buenos Aires” and “Nueva York” (New York), two cities that share similarities and differences, duality accurately embodied by Mauricio Aziz. “Paris” and “Barcelona” are two songs that surround you in an existentialist and late-night atmosphere, where the melodic motif created by the sinthesizer stands out.

Before the end of the trip, there is “London” with a more experimental, seductive and playful British harmony full of street noises. And finally we arrived at “Lofi City”, the capital of sound, where everything starts again through ethereal melodies, with an experimental base marked by the electric bass.

Mauricio Aziz began as a musician at the age of eight when he learned to play the piano, since then he developed a great impulse to understand the reason of the things. At 15 he left school and that was when he decided that his way of understanding and surviving in this world was through music, just like his idol John Deacon did, when he decided to form his first band at 14, called The Opposition.

As a musician, he has also participated as a bassist and musical director in different projects such as: Rakán, Daikiry, Daniela Luján, Alejandra Ávalos and more. In the same way he has produced music for commercials, soap operas, TV series, movies, theater and more.
